A $500 donation from a local business is giving the Orland Park Public Library a little extra help as it works to keep technology available and accessible to the community.
NobleTec LLC recently presented the donation to the library, supporting technology services used by residents of all ages.
Today, a trip to the library can mean much more than checking out a book. Patrons use library computers and technology to search for jobs, complete schoolwork, stay connected with others and learn new skills.
That makes community support especially valuable as the library works to maintain and expand the technology resources residents depend on.
“We sincerely appreciate NobleTec’s generosity and commitment to supporting our community,” said Anthony Andros, assistant library director. “Their donation will help us continue to expand technology services that connect people with the tools and resources they need to learn, create, and succeed.”
Lawrence Troemel, managing partner and president of NobleTec, presented the donation on behalf of the company.
The library also recognized NobleTec with a donor plaque installed on an upstairs book stack, giving patrons a visible reminder of the company’s support.
Joshua Degner, the library’s IT manager, said contributions from local businesses can make a meaningful difference in keeping technology services available to the thousands of residents who use the library each year.
“We greatly appreciate NobleTec’s partnership and support,” Degner said. “Community-minded businesses like NobleTec help us continue providing technology that serves thousands of residents each year.”
The Orland Park Public Library, 14921 S. Ravinia Ave., remains a place where residents can find books and information, but also the technology and resources they need in their everyday lives.
