Wehmeier Portraits, a longtime photo studio in Orland Park, was named the Village’s August 2026 Business of the Month at Monday night’s Village Board meeting.

Specializing in black and white portraits, Wehmeier opened its doors in Orland Park in 2001 in its original brick-and-mortar location on 144th Place.  In 2017, the studio relocated to its current residential studio located in the St. Michael’s neighborhood west of Historic Old Orland.

Rob and his wife Elise humbly accepted the award saying: “We are honored to be recognized this way. We chose Orland Park (31 years ago) to raise our family and we haven’t been disappointed.”

Rob added: “Thank you Mayor (Jim) Dodge and the board of trustees for this honor. Wehmeier Portraits would not be what it is without my wife.”

Wehmeier Portraits is a boutique portrait studio owned and operated by the couple, with Rob leading photography and creative direction and Elise leading the client experience, from initial consultation through the design and presentation of finished artwork.

The studio specializes in finished wall art, custom-designed albums and print collections, believing that the true value of a portrait increases over time, and is committed to engaging with and creating relationships with clients to mark and preserve the milestones of families and children, First Communions, graduates and business portraits.

Wehmeier Portraits extends its relationship building beyond the camera room and into the community through longtime membership in the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce, service on various professional boards and associations and support of music programs at the primary through high school levels.

In addition to portrait work, Rob continues to serve commercial and industrial clients locally, regionally and internationally.

Rob and Elise Wehmeier have lived in Orland Park since 1995, building both their business and their family within the community they proudly call home.
