A Palos Park man was charged with DUI and related traffic violations after police said they found him driving impaired on July 12.
David Johnson, 62, of the 12700 block of Deerwood Drive, was stopped near 156th Street and LaGrange Road following a report of a driver under the influence, police said. Officers noted slurred speech, glossy eyes, and alcohol on his breath, according to a police report.
Johnson told police he had consumed “three or four beers” and was disoriented about his location, saying he thought he was at 127th Street and Southwest Highway, police said.
He was charged with DUI, driving with a suspended license, operating without insurance, and having suspended vehicle registration.
