Maria R. Vazquez, née Rodriguez, affectionately nicknamed “Challo,” passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 29, 2026, with her loving family at her side.
She was the beloved mother of Marie (Mark) Pulaski and Frank Vazquez and the mother of the late Eliacer Vazquez Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew Pulaski, Adrianna Vazquez, and Anthony Damico.
She was the beloved sister of Irma (late Benito) Rodriguez, Maria Aminda “Mine” (late Alfonso) Ramos, and the late Miguel (late Elizabeth) Rodriguez and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was the devoted daughter of the late Micaela and Teodoro Rodriguez.
A devoted servant of the Lord, her strong faith was a central part of her life. Always happy and friendly, Challo was loved by all who knew her for her kind and gentle spirit. She will be remembered as a ray of sunshine and an example of a beautiful person.
Memorial Mass: Friday, August 7, 2026, 12 noon at Two Holy Martyrs Parish, St. Rene Goupil Church.
Following the Mass, family and friends will process to Resurrection Cemetery, where she will be buried alongside her beloved son, Eliacer.
