The Brookfield Conservation Commission is preparing for its annual Meet the Creek event on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Creekside Woods, located at Burlington and Grove avenues.
The program invites residents to explore Salt Creek and the village’s other natural areas, and learn about local ecology and conservation efforts. The date of the latest event was announced at this week’s village board meeting.
The commission is also planning a fall native plant sale to support local habitat restoration and native plantings. Details about the plant sale, including dates, times and plant varieties available, will be announced as the event approaches.
Both events are part of the Conservation Commission’s ongoing efforts to engage residents in environmental stewardship and connect the community with Brookfield’s natural resources.
