The Township of Lyons is holding its annual free recycling event Saturday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at SeatGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Avenue in Bridgeview.
Last year’s event drew a strong turnout. This year, organizers will once again set up organized lanes and stationed volunteers to help residents unload items.
Residents can drop off electronics, small appliances, clothing, linens, shoes, bikes and bike parts, holiday lights, eyeglasses, and new or gently used pet supplies. Enter at the 71st Street entrance (S2).
The event keeps usable items out of landfills and gives residents a chance to clear out their homes.
