FuelFest, a global automotive festival, brings its inaugural Midwest show to Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium on Saturday, featuring live drifting, a full concert, and appearances by celebrities including actor Cody Walker and Tyrese Gibson.
The event runs from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and general admission starts at $39.
Stepping out onto the stage together will be Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker, brother of the late Paul Walker. Those two faces represented the heart of a global community. Cody, who eerily resembles his late brother, is carrying on his brother’s legacy through Reach Out WorldWide.
Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) is a disaster-relief nonprofit founded by Paul Walker in 2010 after the massive earthquake in Haiti. It deploys agile teams of volunteer medical professionals, firefighters and construction workers to provide immediate, “gap” relief in the crucial days following natural disasters globally.
The festival features hundreds of modified, exotic, and rare cars on display, organized into themed zones. A “People’s Choice” paddock lets attendees vote for their favorite vehicle, with winners announced on the Festival Stage. A “Slow ‘N Low” exit parade closes the day.
Live drifting competitions run throughout the afternoon, with professional and local drivers. Ride-alongs are available for an additional cost (18 and older, closed-toe shoes and pants required).
A full-production concert takes place on the Festival Stage. Limited-edition merchandise will be available for purchase.
VIP packages range from $149 to $299 and include early entry, exclusive lounge access, complimentary food and beverages, and meet-and-greet opportunities with Walker or Gibson.
Attendees can also register their own cars to display. Premium placement spots showcase customized vehicles with performance modifications. The “Taste of Tokyo” showcase features ultra-custom builds in a curated garage-style display.
A portion of all proceeds benefits Reach Out Worldwide, a nonprofit founded by Paul Walker.
Tickets are available online. Children 12 and under are free with a paying adult. The festival operates rain or shine, with no refunds.
