A Westmont woman was yicketed June 16 after police found an infant unattended in a parked minivan outside a store in the 9500 block of 142nd Street.

Hadeel Saadiah, 37, of the 3900 block of Park Street, Westmont, told police she left the child in a car seat for about two minutes while she entered the store. She told police she did not want to wake the baby and left the windows partially open.

Police said the infant was in the vehicle for approximately 30 minutes. The outside temperature was around 68 degrees.

Saadiah was cited for leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
