Frankfort residents have a new place to satisfy a burger craving.

Berger Station has officially opened at 21000 S. Frankfort Square Road, bringing its gourmet menu to the former Pete Mitchell’s location and adding another dining destination to the community.

Known for its burgers crafted from porterhouse steak, the restaurant offers a fresh take on a classic favorite. The menu also features a specialty grilled cheese, with gluten-free bread available for guests looking for an alternative.

Gluten free buns are availble for all Porterhouse Burgers.

The Chicago Ridge location of Berger Station closed in 2023, but owner John Narsolis said opening in Frankfort was a natural next step.

“I have been looking in this area for a while,” Narsolis said. “I believe it’s really the perfect location.”

Whether stopping in for lunch, dinner or a late-night bite, diners can expect a casual atmosphere and a menu built around hearty comfort food. Customers who prefer to eat at home can place pickup orders through Berger Station’s Toast Tab online ordering system.

Berger Station is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
