Eliseo Reyes, 29, of the 14500 block of Cooper Avenue in Dixmoor, was charged June 12 with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper backing on a highway and disobeying a traffic control light.
Orland Park police said he was found stopped at a green light near 159th Street and 71st Court with his head down. He then put his car in reverse and nearly struck a vehicle behind him. He told police he had fallen asleep.
Officers noted slurred speech, bloodshot and glossy eyes, and mumbled speech.
Amie McMahon, 57, of the 6300 block of 177th Street in Tinley Park, was charged June 13 with DUI, speeding 15 miles over the limit and driving without insurance. Police said she was stopped near 144th Street and LaGrange Road.
Officers detected alcohol on her breath. McMahon told police she had consumed two beers at a White Sox game and two more afterward.
Pawan Rishiraj, 43, of the 11100 block of Water’s Edge Drive in Orland Park, was charged June 22 with driving under the influence, having a blood alcohol content over .08 percent, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance and improper lane usage. Police said he struck a tree near his home.
Officers reported glassy eyes, swaying, and an odor of alcohol on his breath.
