Walter A. “Wally” Kalinka Jr., age 80, a resident of Palos Hills, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Maria, née Cursio, and the loving father of Laura (the late Tyler) Venziano, Cinthia (Kevin) Bailey, Michael (Jennifer) Kalinka, and Robert (Tammy) Kalinka (the late Rebecca). He was the cherished grandfather of Nina, Tony, Samantha, Christopher, Dominic, and Sophia.
Wally was a member of the Order Sons of Italy and served as President of the Southwest Lodge #2558 for a few years.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 8, 2026, 3 to 8 p.m. at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Highway, Palos Hills, Illinois 60465.
Funeral: Thursday, July 9, 2026, 9 a.m. from Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home to Sacred Heart Church for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
