Krystyna Kumorowicz, age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after an illness. Born on July 6, 1952, Krystyna lived a life defined by faith, kindness, and a deep love for her family.
She was the devoted wife of the late Jan Kumorowicz and the loving daughter of the late Maria and the late Jozef Podczerwinski. She was the cherished sister of the late Anna Szaflarski (late Stanley) and a fond sister-in-law of Janina Kowalczyk (late Edward) and the late Adam Janas (late Anna).
She was the beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Eva Kowalczyk (Dave), Nicole Siemiawski (Matthew), Angie Fiala (Alex), Myla Fiala, Krzysztof Kowalczyk (Dorota), Roman Kowalczyk (Agnieszka), Monika Filar, Patricia Gennaro (Charles), Piotr Kowalczyk (Agata), Barbara Martino (Patrick), Monika Robel (Krzysztof), Anna Papierz (Ćukasz), and many others.
Krystyna touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. Her memory will live in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
Visitation: Thursday, June 25, 2026, 5 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
Funeral: Friday, June 26, 2026, 9 a.m. Prayers and procession to begin from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton Street, Willow Springs, Illinois, for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
