Motorcycle riders filled up for free Tuesday, June 23, at Gas N’ Wash in Bedford Park, thanks to a partnership between the village, a Chicago radio station, and a national motorcycle legal services firm.

Law Tigers Motorcycle Injury Attorneys, working with radio station US99, funded the giveaway as part of a community outreach effort. The firm has run similar promotions in other states.

“We like to bring positivity to the community,” said Dimitri Pavlovsky, a manager with Law Tigers. “Personal injury is such a negative topic.”

Adam Collopy, co-business officer and ambassador for Bedford Park, brokered the deal after learning Law Tigers was looking for a gas station location. He saw it as a chance to highlight a local business.

“One of our main initiatives in Bedford Park is to showcase and spotlight all of our business partners in town, including Gas N’ Wash,” Collopy said.

Law Tigers, a national organization serving motorcycle riders involved in accidents, uses the events to build goodwill and thank customers who attend their shows and visit their offices.

“Our attorneys, our marketing people, we all ride,” said Daniel Yates, who manages Law Tigers in eight states and attended the event. “We are riders helping riders, and ultimately our goal is to be the resource they need for anything.”

Riders who stopped by were grateful for the free fuel.

“I just got back from a long ride and heard about this, so I had to stop by,” said Arturo Juarez of Chicago.
