A four-day carnival marking America’s 250th anniversary comes to SeatGeek Stadium July 2-5, with free live music, carnival rides, and food vendors.
“The Village of Bridgeview is proud to be celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary with this four-day Semiquincentennial festival at SeatGeek Stadium,” Mayor Steven Landek said. “With free entry, free live music, and free parking — specifically for Bridgeview residents — our community will enjoy a 4th of July weekend like no other.”
The event opens Thursday and Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at noon. Admission is free. Ride wristbands run $40 for a single day or $75 for the full weekend.
The music lineup spans four nights at no charge.
Thursday kicks off with Saint Astro, an Aurora-based four-piece blending indie alternative and funky Americana, at 7 p.m., followed by Maxt-Out at 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, country crossover act Wildfire — covering Carrie Underwood, Johnny Cash, and others — performs from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday’s Fourth of July headliner is Joker’s Rival, a Chicago classic rock cover band known for Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Cheap Trick, taking the stage from 8 to 10 p.m.
Sunday closes out the weekend with The Salsa Project at 3 p.m. and Santana Visions at 5 p.m. The tribute act has toured Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan since 2010.
SeatGeek Stadium is at 7000 S. Harlem Ave.
