Jose D. Muñoz passed away Monday evening, June 15, 2026.
He was the beloved husband for 51 years to the love of his life, Victoria Marquez Muñoz. He was the loving father of Juan Muñoz, Angelica Muñoz and her husband Luis Estrada, Jessica Muñoz and her husband Martin Torres, and Guadalupe and his wife Norma Muñoz. He was a cherished grandfather of Brianna and Aliyah Torres, Axel and Andre Estrada, and Adrian Muñoz.
Jose was the dear brother of Felipe, Miguel, Raul, Jose, Avelina, Enriquetta, Juana, Reina, Albina, Margarita, and Antonia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Evelina Muñoz.
His life was a testament to the values of hard work, integrity, and honesty. Nothing meant more to him than his children and grandchildren. The love and lessons he provided will remain with them forever. He will be always loved.
Visitation: Monday, June 22, 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem).
Visitation continues: Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. until time of Prayers at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home. Procession to St. Blasé Church Blessed Martyrs of Chimbote Parish for 11 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.
