Playground equipment defaced
An officer on patrol at Willow Park, 8329 Chaucer Drive, found at 6:43 a.m. May 20 that someone had drawn genitalia on playground equipment. Public Works was contacted to remove the graffiti.
Panic attack leads to charges against driver
A 28-year-old man told police he had pulled over in the 7600 block of South La Grange Road at 10:20 p.m. May 22 and ended up receiving three tickets.
After police ensured he was OK, they looked up his license and found it had been suspended in Arizona.
The man was charged with driving on a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration for non-insurance, and driving without insurance.
Lost wallet returned
A good Samaritan returned a lost wallet he had found at the Speedway gas station, 8424 Willow Springs Road. The wallet was found on May 25 and was returned to the owner, who said he had placed it atop his vehicle while filling up.
Hose stolen from house
A garden hose was stolen May 26 from outside a house in the 11000 block of Forest Woods Drive. An 88-year-old woman told police she had used it to water plants between May 23 and May 25, but when she went to water on May 26, it was missing.
