Due to the forecasted threat of severe thunderstorms, large hail, strong winds, and potentially hazardous weather conditions for Thursday, June 11, Orland Park officials have made the decision to postpone the Concert in the Park featuring the Young Entrepreneur Fair to Friday, June 12 from 5 – 8 p.m.
The safety of vendors, staff, and attendees is the highest priority. After carefully reviewing the weather forecasts, officials believe postponement is the most prudent course of action.
Over 60 young entrepreneurs will be showcasing their creativity in a safe, fun environment, interact with real customers and experience what it’s like to run a business! These entrepreneurs will be selling a variety of handmade items including jewelry, 3D creations, artwork, baked goods, bookmarks, toys and more!
An awards ceremony will be held at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage for all participating on-site entrepreneurs. The judges will evaluate each booth based on originality of the business idea, business potential, overall presentation and creativity. Awards will be presented in two age categories: 7-10 and 11-14.
