Linda L. Ortiz, a resident of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 21, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Ortiz.
Linda was the dear sister of Susan (Jim) O’Connor; fond aunt to Jennifer and her husband Jerry; dear great-aunt to Bella, Vincent and Anthony; and dear sister-in-law to Lucille (Jim) McKay and aunt to Jennifer McKay, Frank Del Moro and the late Vickie Del Moro.
She had worked as a secretary at Sears Roebuck and Company for over 30 years. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lorraine Sobierajski. She will be missed by her many friends.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 27, 2026, 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem).
Visitation continues: Thursday, 9 a.m. until Prayers at 9:30 a.m.
Mass: 10 a.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet Church.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery.
