Customers have been asking for it for years, and now they’re lining up for it.

The Qahwa, a fast-growing Middle Eastern-inspired coffeehouse known for its viral specialty drinks and upscale atmosphere, has opened its second location in Orland Park.

Located at 14470 S. La Grange Road, the café celebrated its grand opening May 29 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Orland Park Mayor Jim Dodge. The new location officially opened its doors May 25.

Store manager Wasif Ibrahim of Palos Hills said the decision to expand into Orland Park was driven by customer demand.

“Our customers kept requesting an Orland Park location,” Ibrahim said. “We felt this was the perfect place to grow.”

The Qahwa first gained popularity at its Bridgeview location by blending traditional Middle Eastern coffee culture with modern American coffeehouse trends. The café roasts its own coffee beans and has developed a menu featuring unique specialty drinks that have attracted customers from across the southwest suburbs.

“We roast our own coffee and have created a fusion between Middle Eastern and American coffee,” Ibrahim said.

Among the café’s most talked-about offerings is its Marshmallow Fluff coffee, a social media favorite that has helped build the brand’s following online. Other popular drinks include the Knafeh Latte, Turkish Latte, Strawberry Shortcake Latte and traditional Karak tea.

Ibrahim said iced beverages are particularly popular with customers, especially during the warmer months.

“The iced specialties are definitely our top sellers,” he said. “The Iced Biscoff Latte with the works is very popular, and so is the Iced Spanish Latte.”

Beyond the menu, The Qahwa aims to create an experience. The spacious Orland Park café features plush seating, dedicated study pods for students and remote workers, and a modern interior designed with social media-worthy photo opportunities in mind.

The coffeehouse’s décor combines contemporary luxury with elements inspired by Middle Eastern hospitality traditions, creating a setting where customers can gather, work or simply relax over coffee and dessert.

Ibrahim said the response from the community has exceeded expectations.

“The community has showed us so much love,” he said. “Our customers are all very nice and friendly.”

He also sees advantages in the café’s location within one of Orland Park’s busiest commercial corridors.

“It’s a very busy area,” Ibrahim said. “We love being in the commerce district.”

In addition to specialty coffee drinks, The Qahwa serves Turkish coffee, espresso beverages and a variety of desserts that reflect Middle Eastern flavors and traditions.

As customers continue filling tables and study pods throughout the day, Ibrahim said the goal remains simple: provide a welcoming place where people can gather while experiencing something different from a traditional coffee shop.
