Vehicle vandalized with lipstick, Silly String
A car parked in the 5400 block of La Grange Road was covered with Silly String and marked with a profane message written in lipstick sometime between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. May 5, police said.
Customer warned after disruptive behavior at Revel Supper Club
Police responded to the Revel Supper Club, 5403 S. La Grange Road, around 9 p.m. May 9 after an employee reported a customer behaving disruptively.
The customer had left before officers arrived but was located nearby and warned not to return or face a trespassing citation, police said.
Three break into Dotty’s, damage machines
Three people wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves broke into Dotty’s, a gaming business at 5321 S. La Grange Road, around 4:30 a.m. May 11, police said. They damaged two gaming machines and stole cash before fleeing in a black sedan with no license plates, police said.
Catalytic converter stolen from truck
A catalytic converter was stolen from a 2020 Isuzu truck parked in the 6200 block of Joliet Road. The theft was discovered on May 9 and the vehicle had been parked there since March 25, police said.
Bank refunds $29,400 after unauthorized transfer
An unknown person transferred $29,400 from a victim’s bank account without authorization on April 21, police said.
The bank refunded the money. The victim declined to prosecute if the offender is identified, police said. The theft was reported May 11.
Liquor and cosmetics stolen from Jewel
Two men stole $701.55 in liquor and cosmetics from Jewel, 5545 S. Brainard Ave., at 9:22 a.m. May 8, a loss prevention employee told police.
One man wore a black and red sweatshirt with black pants and white shoes; the other wore a blue shirt and gray pants. They left in a small black hatchback, police said.
