The Brookfield Public Works department will host a free open house Saturday, May 16, from noon to 2:30 p.m., giving residents a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment, vehicles, and facilities used to maintain the village’s roads, water systems, and infrastructure.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions. No registration is required. The department is located at 8820 Brookfield Ave.
Village officials have held similar events in past years to build community understanding of public services and the scope of work required to maintain village infrastructure.
