Construction on the second phase of Ehlert Park improvements is underway, with completion expected later this year, Brookfield’s Parks and Recreation Department announced at the May 11 village board meeting.
The expansion will add new amenities and improve existing facilities, including the baseball field, at the neighborhood park.
Summer camp registration has closed with 241 children enrolled across multiple programs running throughout the summer.
The department also announced an upcoming duck fundraiser to support park programming and maintenance. Ducks can be purchased, for example, at the village’s table at the farmer’s market held on Saturdays in the village hall parking lot.
