Wayne G. Holler

Wayne G. Holler, a Navy veteran known for his quick wit, infectious humor, and adventurous spirit, died May 8, 2026, in Frankfort, Illinois, the city where he was born on February 5, 1949.

Holler was survived by his wife, Carolyn; nine children, Lisa, Jennifer, Samantha, Christopher, Jason, Brandon, Bridget, David, and Jason; a godchild, Emily; and 13 grandchildren. He was a godfather and cherished family connections across Illinois and Texas.

Holler was a proud Navy veteran whose service reflected the steadiness, discipline, and quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He remained warm, approachable, and full of life, balancing dependability with genuine enjoyment of people and the world around him.

Known for his natural sense of humor and kindness, Mr. Holler had a gift for turning everyday moments into something worth remembering. He loved running, biking, hiking, and camping, and he found joy in nature and animals. He was the kind of person who noticed every bird, greeted every dog, and appreciated the world around him with real enthusiasm.

Those who knew Mr. Holler will remember his ability to brighten a room and make people laugh without making them feel small. His humor was matched by his loyalty and his deep appreciation for family.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home and Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded.
