Michael Anthony Barajas, 23, of Hammond, Ind., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 6:23 p.m. April 23, in the 9700 block of South Central Avenue.
Police said he was driving erratically and failed field sobriety tests. He refused to submit a breath sample. Barajas was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis in a vehicle.
Barajas was cited for improper turning, leaving the roadway, improper lane usage, driving in the wrong lane, illegal transportation of alcohol and driving without insurance. He is due in court June 4.
