Orland Park police have a person of interest in custody in the homicide of a 77-year-old man found dead in his home Wednesday evening, authorities said.
Samir Kassem was discovered deceased inside his residence in the 14100 block of Concord Drive after officers responded to a 911 assist-ambulance call around 6:30 p.m., police said.
“We are working a homicide,” Sgt. Casey Wall said Thursday.
Wall said additional information would be released as the investigation continues.
