A Chicago man on parole was arrested following a traffic stop in Oak Lawn after police said he was carrying a hatchet, a dagger, 24 rocks of crack cocaine and 480 grams of cannabis.
Kenrod L. Jones, 42, was pulled over at 7:50 p.m. April 20 in the 4000 block of West 93rd Place. Police said the hatchet and dagger were parole violations.
Drugs, packaging material and more than $1,200 in cash were found in the car, police said.
Jones was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, fleeing or eluding a police officer, and aggravated speeding.
