Alex J. Aceves, a security professional who worked for more than 10 years at the Goose Island Mars campus, died April 11, 2026, in Illinois. He was 34.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Aceves, and his son, Anthony Aceves. He was born Dec. 2, 1991, in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Aceves completed engineer training through Local 399 and worked as an apprentice engineer at Hines Riverpoint. He served as a security professional for more than 10 years at the Goose Island Mars campus, working under Securitas, Allied Universal and DSI Security Services. He was known for his professionalism and commitment to his work.
Aceves was a member of Club San Jerónimo and was known for his love of music and dancing. He enjoyed attending concerts and spending time with his wife and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at Saint Cletus Church, 600 W. 55th St., LaGrange, Illinois. Prayers and a procession will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
