Kyler Mrozck, 18, of the 11000 block of Karen Drive in Orland Park, was arrested March 31 and charged with two counts of resisting a peace officer and one count of aggravated battery to a peace officer.
Police responded about 5:15 p.m. to a call of people fighting in the street. When they arrived, officers saw Mrozck stumbling onto his driveway and falling into a bush.
Mrozck stumbled toward the house and eventually entered through a garage service door, which he locked behind him. When police attempted to make contact, he started throwing various items at them before retreating back inside.
He re-emerged and again threw items at police, cutting an officer’s leg. Before Mrozck could get back inside, police grabbed him and took him to the ground.
Mrozck resisted arrest. It took four officers to subdue him. Police called an ambulance because of his level of intoxication and his demeanor.
A spit hood was placed over Mrozck’s head to prevent him from spitting on officers. While in the ambulance, Mrozck attempted to spit on, scratch and bite paramedics, police said.
Police charged him with two counts of resisting a peace officer, one count of aggravated battery to a peace officer and one count of aggravated battery to a fireman.
