A man was killed Saturday night after he was speeding down Pulaski Road in Archer Heights and crashed into another car, which caused his vehicle to catch fire, Chicago police said.
The driver was speeding north on Pulaski Road in a Jeep Cherokee just before midnight when he crashed into a Honda Pilot driven by a 67-year-old man turning into the 4400 block of South Pulaski, police said.
The Jeep driver lost control and crashed into a tree and a fence. His car then caught on fire, police said.
The driver, whose age and name have not been released, was dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Area detectives are investigating the crash.
