Helena Pawlik, a longtime Chicago area resident, died April 10, 2026. She was 89.
She is survived by two children: Kazimiera Greczek and Jozef Pawlik; four grandchildren: David Greczek, Mateusz Pawlik, Aleksandra Wach and Adrian Pawlik; three great-grandchildren: Oliwia Pawlik, Antoni Wach and Amelia Wach; her brother, Boleslaw Kopec; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Pawlik; her parents, Wiktoria and Jozef Kopec; and her sister-in-law, Genowefa Pawlik.
Pawlik was born Helena Kopec.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at Saint Fabian Church, 7450 W. 83rd St., Bridgeview, Illinois. Prayers and a procession will begin at the funeral home at 9 a.m.
Interment will be at Cmentarz Parafialny in Gronkow, Poland.
