Ronald Berek died April 12, 2026. His age was not provided.
He is survived by his son, Martin Berek; three grandchildren: Caitlin, Connor and Grace; two siblings: William Berek and Pamela Berek; his godson, Charles Cicenas; and his niece, Angela Nowak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Berek, who died in February 2025.
A service and time of remembrance will be held Thursday, April 16, at 9:45 a.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Chicago.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Additional visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
A procession will follow to Fairmount Willow Hill Memorial Park, where Mr. Berek will be laid to rest beside his wife, Diane.
