Jerrie Yehling, formerly of Monee, died April 11, 2026, in Chippewa Falls. Services on Thursday, April 23, Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel.

Jerrie Yehling, 74, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls. Born on October 9, 1951, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Clarence and Eleanor (Jolliffe) Yehling. She grew up in Monee, where she also attended school.

In 1972, Jerrie married James Smith and together had three children but later divorced.

Jerrie was a talented artist and entered her paintings, drawings, and other crafts in many art shows over the years. Her family is left with many cherished pieces of her beautiful work. She also had a green thumb, with lovely flower and vegetable gardens. Jerrie loved all animals but had a special place in her heart for dogs, especially her own Japanese Chins, George and Monkie.

She will be dearly missed by her three children, Barbara Smith of Menlo Park, California, Carolyn (Chad) Pehlke, of Phillips, and James (Jessica Mork) Smith of Wheeler; close friend, Rick Gregerson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sibling, Joan, Carl, Carol, and Roy.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on April 23, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, with interment to follow at Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel.
