Salvatore Di Dio peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He shared 64 beautiful years of marriage with his childhood sweetheart, Josephine. Salvatore was the devoted and cherished father of Doris (Nick) Ciaccio, Angela Sottile and Anthony (Mary Ann) Di Dio. He was a proud Nonno to Francesca (Sal), Marco, Giovanni (Jori), Michael, Cristina (Joey), Samantha (Brandon), David and Francesco, and an adoring great-grandfather to Logan, Natalie, Giovanni, Rocco, Vincenzo, Mason, Maisie and Josephine.

He is survived by his brother Arturo (Tina) in Italy and was preceded in death by his sister Carmela (late Natale). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Salvatore began his craft as a tailor in Italy at just 16 years old. After immigrating to the United States in 1964, he continued his trade and opened Sal’s Tailoring Shop in Berwyn, which he proudly operated for 20 years. His life’s work reflected dedication, perseverance and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Beyond his profession, Salvatore instilled in his children and grandchildren the values of family, honesty, integrity and respect. The lessons he taught through his example will remain a lasting gift to those who loved him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:30 AM until prayers at 9:45 AM. Procession will follow to St. Richard Church for a 10:30 AM Mass.

Salvatore will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and respected businessman, he will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.
