“Do not touch the mannequin” means just that. Do not touch the mannequin.
Andrianna Thomas, 36, of the 11300 block of Church Street, Chicago, and Shatara Connor, 32, of the 14000 block of West 95th Avenue, Orland Park, learned the hard way after employees at 2 Cute in the Orland Square Mall repeatedly asked them not to touch the mannequin, police said.
The women also reportedly disregarded a sign that read “Do Not Touch The Mannequinn.”
Thomas and Connor were charged with disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with store employees, police said.
Police said Connor started touching the mannequin and was told by a store employee that wasn’t allowed. Connor began to argue with the employee, police said.
Connor told police she saw a jacket she liked on the mannequin and was “touching the collar of the jacket to look at the tag,”
When asked to leave the store by an employee, Connor began to argue with her, police said. The store manager then stepped in and asked her to leave.
Thomas then began to argue with the employee near the exit and the employee told police Thomas and Connor began to punch her, police said.
The employee said she was hit in the chest by Thomas and fell down as the fight continued outside the store, police said.
