Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate has announced on his Instagram page that he has declared for the NFL Draft.

The draft is scheduled for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh

Tate, who spent two years at Marist, played the 2021 and 2022 seasons at IMG Academy in Florida.

This season, the 6-3, 195-pound junior helped the Buckeyes go 12-2 and reach the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff, where they lost to Miami.

Tate was second on the Buckeyes in receptions with 51 for 875 yards and nine touchdowns. Tate, who averaged 17.2 yards per catch, was second on the team in touchdowns.

“Being a Buckeye has been an amazing ride that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” Tate said on his Instagram page. “From day one, I’ve always dreamed of playing for this program and it has been a dream come true. This program has pushed me to be my best, taught me how to complete at the highest level and given me memories and relationships I’ll never forget. …

“After careful consideration, I have decided to take the next step in my career and declare for the NFL Draft. I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished at Ohio State and will carry the lessons, relationships and memories from this program with me forever.”
