Holiday cheer filled Harlem Avenue on Saturday morning as Palos Heights’ annual holiday parade brought color, music and festive energy to the community.

The parade moved north along Harlem Avenue from 126th Street, drawing families who lined the sidewalks to watch floats, performers and decorated vehicles glide past in full holiday spirit.

Organized by Alderman Heather Begley, the event once again served as a cherished kickoff to the season. Taking part in the parade were the Palos Stars Football and Cheerleading program, Stagg High School’s choir and dance team, Palos Heights Mayor Bob Straz, Palos Park Mayor Nicole Milovich-Walters, Richards Bicycles, Heights Cycle and many more local businesses and community organizations.

Spectators enjoyed the lively mix of music, movement and hometown pride as groups showcased creative displays and spirited performances.

Santa Claus closed out the parade, waving from his sleigh as children cheered and reached out for a glimpse of the season’s most anticipated visitor.

With a strong turnout and bright holiday energy, the parade continued its tradition of bringing nearby communities together in celebration.
