Jean E. Kozlowski died Sept. 30, 2025, just 11 days short of her 95th birthday.
She was the wife of the late Leonard Kozlowski and the mother of Irene (Richard) Nowik and Debra (Scott) Ziga. She was the grandmother of Jeffrey (Jaime) Nowik, Lynn Nowik, Dawn (Manuel) Anguiano, Kelly Bulvan, Jennifer (Matthew) Nordman and Jamie (Mark) Kasper. She was the great-grandmother of James, Matthew, Logan, Hunter, Harper, Brooks, Beau and Charlotte.
Kozlowski was the sister of Barry (Therese) Shenberger, Bobby (Betty) Fields, Thomas (Kate) Shenberger, Micky (Kathleen) Shenberger, Ed (Jackie) Shenberger, Jack (Viola) Shenberger and Rosemary (George) Friel. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Originally from Chicago, Kozlowski and her husband lived in Florida for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and playing golf, once recording a hole-in-one. She was remembered for her love of wine, chocolate, and laughter, and for a spirit and sense of humor that made her a dear friend to many.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Justice. A service celebrating her life will be held at 7 p.m.
