Lorraine Elizabeth Saviski, lovingly known as Lori to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Darien, Illinois. She was 80.
Born on April 6, 1945, in Chicago, Lori lived a life defined by faith, love, and service to others.
For 58 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her husband, William Saviski. Together they raised three children: Laura (Mike) Stigge, Jennifer, and Bill (Jennifer) Saviski. Lori was a proud and joyful grandmother to Garrett, Olivia, Dusten, Madeline, Bradley, Juliana, Katie, Michael, and Teddy, who were the light of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Domark and Lorraine Rautis, and sister to the late Dennis (late Linda) Domark and Richard (Marilyn) Domark.
Lori dedicated 25 years to teaching kindergarten at Gower West Elementary School, where she nurtured young learners with patience, kindness, and a love of learning. Her influence will be remembered by generations of students and families.
Her faith was central to her life. She found strength and fellowship in her church and bible study communities, and she carried those values into every aspect of her life. Lori’s energy also carried her onto the tennis courts, where she played avidly into her late 70s, competing with the same joy and determination that defined her daily life.
Those who knew Lori will remember her as kind, selfless, loving, and faith-filled. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Avenue, Darien, Illinois, on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lori’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation, Lustgarten Foundation, Hirshberg Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
