Conference: South Suburban Red
Head coach: Tim Zasada
2024 record: 4-5
2025 outlook:
The Rams are looking to return to the IHSA playoffs for the first time since 2022 with a staff that includes two former head coaches: Jim McDonough, who led Reavis from 2002-11 and Josh O’Shea (Tinley Park). Also helping out are former Marist defensive coordinator Pete Gabel and offensive line coach Tony Pape, a former Michigan All-American.
“We are hoping to be a more competitive group this season in our conference,” coach Tim Zasada said.
Three starters return on the offensive line in seniors Fernando Lopez, Messiah Lugo and Jamal Saeed. Junior Dardan Nreci takes over as the starting quarterback and has a pair of veteran receivers to work with in seniors Nikko Roberts and Logan Hurtado. Sophomore running back Christian Del Bosque is another offensive option.
Back on defense after being sidelined by injury is end Parker Zasada. Other defensive veterans include senior cornerback Nick Pryor and senior linebackers Skylar O’Neill and Mike Ayala.
Another impact player will be senior kicker Blake Stefanek.
Another couple of newcomers to keep an eye on are running back/linebacker Nehemiah Rogers, a transfer from Bremen, and sophomore receiver/defensive back Ahmed Everette.
