Nearly 100,000 Electronic Dance Music enthusiasts from across the country are expected to descend on Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 29-31, for the annual North Coast Music Festival.
The three-day EDM event is a must for those who favor epic music, interactive art and an electric vibe. Electronic Dance Music is an umbrella term for various styles of music that are created mostly for the purpose of dancing and produced by using electronic instruments and production techniques.
EDM is characterized by its focus on rhythm, repetitive beats and synthesized sounds and encompasses a wide range of genres like house, techno, trance and more.
The 28,000-seat facility will be transformed from a professional soccer stadium to a music mecca featuring three (Stadium, Vegas and Shipyard) stages and a Chill Dome, which is a refuge for visitors to escape the heat.
