Richard Rosales and girlfriend Lauren Vanwitzenberg planned on having a nice day at Centennial Pool with Vanwitzenberg’s young son on July 14. What they didn’t plan on was being charged with possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and given a lifetime ban from the Orland Park pool.
But that’s exactly what the couple got, police said.
Vanwitzenberg, 38, of the 15700 block of South 86th Avenue, Orland Park, also was charged with endangering the life or health of a child, police said. Rosales gave an address of the 1700 block of Winchester Road in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Orland Park police responded to a call around 7 p.m. of an intoxicated subject at the pool, 15600 West Ave. Patrons told police that the couple were stumbling and holding on to railings and were believed to be intoxicated, police said.
Rosales told police he had consumed alcohol and when they approached Vanwitzenberg, police said her pupils appeared to be “pinpoint.” When questioned by police she reportedly told them: “I am stoned.”
Police said she admitted to having a THC vape pipe in her possession. Police said a patron of the pool saw the couple snort “some kind of white powder.” Police said they found a small clear plastic bag containing ketamine that Vanwitzenberg told police “they both use but wasn’t hers.”
Police said that Rosales, whose pupils also appeared to be pinpoint, was questioned further about the ketamine. After initially denying knowing about the drugs, Rosales reportedly told police: “Let her go. I’ll take the charge.”
Vanwitzenberg’s son was released to the custody of her sister, police said.
If you abuse neglect or endangering a child then mandatory sterilization. Children are too precious to keep allowing parents to harm their children.

It is totally disgusting to use drugs and alcohol around children and you DO NOT deserve your child.
