On July 31, at 1:49 p.m., officers were in the area of Marion and Manhattan Road, when they observed a black trailer being towed by a truck with no registration. Officers spoke with Luis A. Ortiz-Calderon, 20, of Joliet, and learned that Ortiz-Calderon has never been issued a valid driver’s license. Ortiz-Calderon was then issued citations for no valid registration, no valid driver’s license, operating uninsured motor vehicle, and no safety inspection. Ortiz-Calderon then was issued a court date and released.

On August 1, officers were in the area of Manhattan and Gougar Roads, when they observed a white Jeep with suspended registration. Officers spoke with Jasmine L. Alston, 33, of Richton Park, and learned her driver’s license was suspended. Officers issued Alston citations for suspended registration and suspended driver’s license, at which time she was issued a court date and released.
