The Taste of Orland Park is set to return to the Village Center Aug. 1-3, bringing a full weekend of live entertainment, local eats and family activities.

Presented by Northwestern Medicine, the event marks its 22nd year showcasing Orland Park restaurants, community groups and performers. Admission, parking and all activities are free.

“We are thrilled to bring the Taste of Orland Park back to Village Center this year,” Mayor Jim Dodge said. “This event has long been a staple in bringing our community together and staff has worked diligently to make this year’s Taste the best event yet.”

The festival opens Friday with performances from country artist Alika Arlynn, ABBA tribute band Dancing Queen and ’80s cover band Sixteen Candles. A drone show will close the evening.

Saturday’s lineup includes yacht rock, blues, a veterans tribute and headliners Tommy DeCarlo of Boston and Jason Scheff of Chicago. Sunday features a Taylor Swift tribute, a talent showcase and Queen tribute act One Vision of Queen featuring Marc Martel. A fireworks display will cap the weekend.

Additional highlights include live band karaoke, a Family Feud-style game show, and kids’ activities throughout the weekend. The Battle of the Bands returns Friday, and bingo hosted by the Orland Park Kiwanis and Lions clubs runs Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Food will be available for purchase from more than a dozen local vendors, including Barraco’s, Cooper’s Hawk, Joey’s Red Hots, Nothing Bundt Cakes and The Original Rainbow Cone.

“It’s great to see the wide variety of local offerings, from franchises to independently owned restaurants,” Dodge said. “Along with the food, the Village has put together an excellent lineup of events and entertainment for the community to enjoy.”

The event runs from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Village Center, 14700 S. Ravinia Ave. Attendees may bring one sealed water bottle per person; other outside food or drinks are not allowed. Bags will be checked at entry.

Parking is available at multiple nearby lots. Ravinia Avenue will be closed between 147th and 149th streets for safety.
