Two women face retail theft charges following separate incidents at area stores earlier this month, according to police.
Lisa E. Brokof, 65, of the 17900 block of Settlers Pond Way in Orland Park, was arrested July 2 at Jewel-Osco, 9350 W. 159th St. Store officials told police they saw her place grocery items in a shopping bag and leave without paying. She was cited for retail theft and issued a $300 fine, with an option to contest the charge at a hearing Aug. 5 at the Orland Park Civic Center.
Alexis M. Bell, 31, of Richton Park, was arrested July 3 after police said she concealed merchandise in a shopping bag at Von Maur, 4 Orland Square Dr., and left the store without paying. She was cited for retail theft and given an optional court date of Aug. 5 at the Orland Park Civic Center. Bell also received a one-year ban from Orland Square Mall and a lifetime ban from Von Maur.
