A Countryside man was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly threatened to shoot another driver during a road rage incident earlier this month, police said.
Adam R. Woosley, 40, was arrested June 14 after a man told police Woosley nearly hit his vehicle on La Grange Road around 12:30 p.m. and then confronted him on a nearby side street.
Woosley approached with his hand behind his back and told the other driver, “I have a gun with me and I’m going to shoot you,” according to the police report. The man said Woosley walked away but returned moments later to repeat the threat.
Officers located Woosley driving on 55th Street after the victim called 911. He was arrested and found to have a stun gun, police said. His FOID card had been revoked.
Woosley was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a stun gun, authorities said.
