A stolen Chevy Camaro was recovered in Hazel Crest early June 11, less than two hours after it was taken from a Justice apartment complex, police said.
The blue Camaro was reported stolen at 5:10 a.m. from a parking lot in the 7300 block of South Blackstone Avenue, according to Justice police. The car’s owner, who was at work at the time, told officers he was alerted around 4:30 a.m. by a GPS tracking system that the vehicle had been started.
The system later showed the car in Hazel Crest, police said.
Hazel Crest officers located the vehicle around 7 a.m. in the 16800 block of Cane Avenue, police said.
No arrests had been announced as of June 30.
