On June 10, at 4:50 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Martez Davison, 25, a Chicago Heights resident. Davison was charged with unauthorized use of handicapped parking sign, improper backing on roadway, no valid license/never issued, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On June 10, at 12:41 p.m., Monee officers were dispatched to the 25700 block of Truman Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, they met with the victim, who said he was awakened by a call from an Alsip Police Officer, who said his 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was used in a burglary. In disbelief, he checked his driveway and discovered his car was gone. He advised Monee officers it was parked, at midnight, in the driveway. He said the car was locked, and there was no broken glass in the driveway. Monee Detectives are investigating, and additional patrol will be done in the subdivisions.
On June 11, at 2:03 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Jordan Batts, 20, from Manteno. Batts was charged with speeding over posted limit and driving while her license is suspended. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On June 11, at 3:58 p.m., Monee officers were dispatched to 5601 W. Monee-Manhattan Road in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival the complainant directed them to a vehicle with a Belgium Malinois Dog in the back seat. The windows were cracked slightly, and the dog appeared in distress, showing signs of heat stroke. The temperature outside the car was 90 degrees and humid. Officers were able to get an interior reading of the car and found the temperature above 116 degrees. The complainant said she believed the vehicle had been parked for approximately 30 minutes. Officers were able to locate the owner of the dog, who was inside Old National Bank. Officers arrested the suspect, 51, of Monee, who was charged with confined animal in a motor vehicle. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On June 11, at 6:20 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Daishinae Henry, 19, from Park Forest. Henry was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no valid license, permit, or restricted driving permit and operating a motor vehicle when registration suspended for non-insurance. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
On June 12, at 1:52 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Kellena Green, 34, from Hammond, Indiana. Green was charged with speeding over posted limit and driving while her license is suspended. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.
