Patricia T. Marek, a longtime resident of Palos Hills, died June 5, 2025, at her home. She was 87.
Born May 29, 1938, Ms. Marek was the devoted daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa Marek. She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard (Geraldine), Thomas (Arlene) and James.
She was a beloved aunt to Tommy (Dionne), Tammy (Shawn) Thompson, Jackie (Andy) Marek, Carrie (Dave) Roth and Erin (Mark) Krawczyk, and a proud great-aunt to Alec, McKinley, Samantha, Patrick, Ashley, Keegan, Anjali, Hannah and Ajay. She is also remembered as a dear friend to many, including her best friend, Barbara Beaton, who was by her side at the time of her passing.
Family and friends will gather for a memorial visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the funeral home before a 10 a.m. memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
