Biggby Coffee officially opened its doors at 11845 Southwest Hwy. Unit 1 with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, June 2, welcoming the community to its newest neighborhood coffee spot.
Owned and operated by Sarah and Manny Garcia, residents of Palos Heights, the new Biggby Coffee location brings handcrafted beverages, warm hospitality and a family-run spirit to the area.
“We’re so excited to share Biggby with our hometown,” said Sarah Garcia. “Every drink is made with care, and we love connecting with our customers over coffee.”

“This is truly a dream for us,” her husband, Manny, added. “Palos Heights is where we bought our first home, where we are raising our daughter and where we are building a life.”
The ceremony was attended by local leaders, including Palos Heights Mayor Bob Straz, along with members of the Palos Area Chamber of Commerce and members of the Palos Area Business Association and residents who gathered to celebrate the launch of the franchise.
The ribbon cutting marked the official opening of the beautifully decorated café, which is part of the growing Michigan-based coffee brand known for its vibrant drinks and community-focused mission.
Biggby Coffee offers a wide array of beverages, including tea lattes, sweet foam cold brews and Red Bull mocktails. The café also caters to younger guests with an extensive kids’ menu and features a selection of breakfast sandwiches and bagels.
All Biggby’s drinks are made from scratch by their skilled baristas and the ingredients are carefully selected by a team of coffee enthusiasts who want each guest to feel welcome and excited to come back.
The Garcias hope Biggby Coffee becomes a go-to gathering place for neighbors, families and anyone in need of a pick-me-up. With its bright atmosphere and personalized service, the couple said they look forward to helping customers find their perfect drink.
Biggby Coffee is now open daily and invites the community to stop in and discover their new favorite beverage — handcrafted with love, from their family to yours.
“This speaks volume to the quality of life in Palos Heights – and to those who live in town and open a business in town,” Mayor Straz said.
Hours of operation are from Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
