Patricia Louise Miller, 91, of Matteson, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Chicago Heights. Born on March 24, 1934, she was the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Howe. She attended school in Chicago.
Patricia married Harold Miller on July 31, 1953, in Chicago. She was a homemaker to five wonderful children, while supporting Harold through 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. Patricia was involved in Trinity Lutheran Church for more than 30 years, participating in Trinity’s bell choir, assisting at weekly services and other activities organized by church members.
What Patricia loved most in life was spending time with loved ones. Seeing grandchildren, then great-grandchildren playing sports, at school activities, vacations, holidays, playing bingo, card games, watching movies, and participating in quality family time.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Howe; her husband, Harold Miller; brother, Joseph Howe; son-in-law, Brian A. Thompson; sister-in-law, Edith Howe; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Miller; and grandchild, Natalie Miller.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Curtis Miller and Joseph (Linda) Miller; daughters, Connie (Robert) Paulsen, Caren Thompson, Candance (Michael) Gayton; and brother, William Howe. She has 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Private services were held, with burial at Skyline Cemetery on April 30. Pallbearers were Curtis Miller, Joseph Miller, Robert Paulsen, Michael Gayton, Brian C. Thompson, and Michael Thompson.
